Replace the cylinder head cover

Damage to or destruction of electrical components .

Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Remove screws (arrows).
Feed out oil filler neck (1) and remove.

Loosen screw (1) .
Feed out intake camshaft sensor (2) and remove.

Loosen screw (1) .
Feed out exhaust camshaft sensor (2) and remove.

Guide out and remove the clamps (1) at the cylinder head cover (2) .

Guide out and remove the rubber retainer (1) at the cylinder head cover (2) .

Replace sealing ring (1) at the oil filler neck (2) .
Parts: Sealing ring
Coat new sealing ring (1) with fresh engine oil.

Feed in and install oil filler neck (1) .
Tighten screws (arrows).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Oil filler neck on cylinder head cover
M6	tightening torque	8 Nm

Check sealing ring (1) for damage at the intake camshaft sensor, replace if necessary.

Feed in and install intake camshaft sensor (2) .
Tighten down screw (1) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Camshaft position sensor to cylinder head cover
TS5x20	Tightening torque	4 Nm

Tighten down screw (1) .

TS5x20	Tightening torque	4 Nm
