Clean sealing surfaces

Use special tool 0 495 104 (11 4 472) to remove the sealing residue.
(1) = rough sealing residue

(2) = fine sealing residue

Remove the sealing residue on the rear axle differential and clean sealing surface (1).

When reusing the oil pan:
