Replacing the rear axle differential

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Release special tool 0 496 080 (33 5 206) .
- Lift down existing rear axle differential (1) from the special tool 0 495 827 (23 4 150) .
- Replace the rear axle differential (1)

Parts: Rear axle differential
- Position the new rear axle differential (1) on the special tool 0 495 827 (23 4 150) .
- Secure rear axle differential (1) with the special tool 0 496 080 (33 5 206) on the special tool 0 495 827 (23 4 150) .
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Remove protective cap of the radial shaft seal (2) .
- Insert installation protection ring (1) in radial shaft seal (2) .
