- Any work must exclusively be carried out with an exhaust system that has cooled down.

- Drive a hole into the radial shaft sealing ring (1) using a center punch.
- Screw special tool 0 491 454 (23 0 490) into the radial shaft seal (1) .
- Drive out radial shaft seal (1) with the impact weight (2) in the direction of the arrow.
