Installing the backrest covering for the front seat

Place the backrest cover (2) onto the upholstery.
Secure all trim wires (1) with clamps.

Replace the clamps (2).
Parts: Clamps
Insert the new clamp (2) with the special tool 0 492 668 (52 0 050) .

Clasp the trim wire (3) of the facing (1) and the trim wire (4) of the cover with the clamp (2) and bend the clamp (2).

Slightly fold backrest cover (1) to one side.
Insert the holder (2).

Installing side airbag on front seat.

Airbag unit.

Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!
- Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

- Feed side airbag in the arrow direction into the backrest frame and the upholstery pocket (3).
- Make sure the guide (4) is positioned correctly.
- Renew the blind rivet (2)
  Parts: Blind rivet
- Secure the side airbag using the blind rivet (2).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

- Attach the backrest cover (2) in this area (3).
- Insert the clip (1).
