Replacing the pump for the headlight cleaning system

Preliminary work
- Removing the cover of the rear right engine compartment.
- Loosen the lock (1)
- Remove the cover (2).
Covering the vehicle battery
WARNING: Unprotected battery terminals. Risk of short circuits! Risk of fire!- Cover the vehicle battery
NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.- Cover the vehicle battery with the special tool 2 452 007 as shown.
- Refer to REMOVING THE LID FOR THE WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR .
- Refer to REMOVING THE MOUNTING OF THE HOOD SEAL .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER FRONT .
- Refer to REMOVING WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR .
- Pull the pump for the headlight cleaning system (1) out of the washer fluid reservoir (2).
- Pull strainer with gasket (1) out of the washer fluid reservoir (2).
- Check the strainer with seal (1) and the pump for headlight cleaning system (2) for damage.
- Join the strainer with seal (1) with the washer fluid reservoir (2).
- Replace the pump for the headlight cleaning system.
