Removing the support for the front bumper cover

- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Remove the impact absorber (2).NOTE: Description is for left component only.
Procedure on the right side is identical. - Disengage the air inlet (1) at the detents (2) and remove.
- Release the screws (1) and remove the cover (2).
- Detach the trim panel (1) on the lever (2) from the guide in a backwards direction and fold it upwards.NOTE: Description is for left component only.
Procedure on the right side is identical. - Loosen screw (1).
- Loosen expanding rivet (2).NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Lift the air duct (1) upwards out of the guide (2).
- Thread out air duct (1) and remove.NOTE: Description is for left component only.
Procedure on the right side is identical. - Loosen screw (1).
- Secure the engine oil cooler (2) from falling.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Disengage the engine oil cooler (2) downwards out of the snap-in lugs (1).
- Detach the engine oil cooler (2) and secure it (do not remove).NOTE: Description is for left component only.
Procedure on the right side is identical. - Loosen screws (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Unlock plug connections and disconnect.
- Feed out the support for the front bumper cover (3) together with the deformation elements below and remove it.
