Removing tie rod ends on left and right

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing the tie rod end

Release nut (1). If necessary, counter support at the Torx socket.
Release tie rod end (2) from the swivel bearing (3).

Determine dimension (A) to simplify the following toe adjustment on the front axle.
Slacken screw (1).
Unscrew tie rod end.
If necessary, hold the track rod with an open-end spanner for counter support.
