- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Unlock the lock of cover (1) in the arrow direction.
- Guide the cover (1) out of the control unit bracket (2) in the arrow direction and remove.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unlatch the holder (1).
- Remove the intake line (2) out of the holder (1) and guide out below the wires (3).
- Release the screw (1) of the intake line (2).
- Set the intake pipe (2) aside.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug (1).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip the wiring harness mounting in area (1).
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Unclip wiring harness mounting (1).
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip wiring harness mounting (1).
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connections (2) and (3).
- Unclip the wiring harness mounting in the areas (1).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip wiring harness mounting (2).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip the wiring harness section of sensor system 5-8 from the holder in area (2).
- Unclip wiring harness mounting (2).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip wiring harness mountings (1).
- Unclip the plug connection (2) in the arrow direction from the wiring harness section of sensor system 5-8.
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Unclip the wiring harness integrated power supply module (PDM) in the area (4) at the lug in the arrow direction.
- Loosen screws (3).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip the cable harnesses in area (1).
- Unlock holder (2) on the lug (3) in arrow direction.
- Feed out the wiring harness section of sensor system 5-8 with the holder (2) in an upward direction.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Set the grounding point (2) aside.
- Unclip wiring harness mounting (1).
Removing cover for the right DME control unit
- Feed the cover panel (1) out to the top and remove.
- Unclip the connector (1) in the arrow direction.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip the wiring harness section of sensor system 5-8 from the holder in area (2).
- Thread out the wiring harness section of sensor system 5-8 and remove.
