Removing the trim strip on the A-pillar

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Careless handling of tools and sharp-edged components.
Scratches, surface damage.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Precondition

Front door is open.

Carefully pull the seal (1) out of the trim strip on the A-pillar (2) starting from the bottom.

Loosen screws (1).
Carefully feed out and remove the trim strip on the A-pillar (2) forwards out of the seal on the windshield panel.
