Remove the illuminated front sill trim
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE INNER DOOR SILL COVER STRIP .
- Get the set of special tools 0 493 752 (00 9 329)
ready.
- Disconnect plug connection (1) .
- Loosen edge protection seal (2) in the area of the cable.
NOTE:

Application of too much force can lead to bending of plastic components.

- Place special tool directly beside the mounting clip.
- Continue unclipping the part without using the tool if possible.
- Loosen the illuminated front sill trim (1) with suitable tools with the clips (2) .
- Feed out cables and remove the illuminated front sill trim (1) .
- Remove clips (1) if necessary and affix on the illuminated front sill trim.
