Preparing New Part
- Release the welded connections in the area (1) with the finger belt grinder. Prepare in area (1) of new part and body for joining using plug-welding.
- Release the welded connection in area (2)
from the inside. In areas (2)
, prepare new part and body for joining using spot-welding.
- Loosen the welded connections in areas (1)
and (2)
with the file belt sander.
In areas (1) , prepare new part and body for joining using plug-welding.
- Adjust the new part and prepare it for joining by welding in the areas (1)
.
- Prepare the new part in the areas (1)
for joining by welding.
- Additional steps when installing the side panel:
Mark and perform the separating cuts on the side panel new part in the roof frame area in accordance with separating cuts on the vehicle.
