Remove B-Pillar With Reinforcement
- Make the separating cut (1)
to dimension.
Dimension (a) = 24 mm from the center of the hinge screwed connection.
- Cut through B-pillar completely. Do not damage the inner side member in doing so.
- Mark and make separating cuts (1), (2)
and (3)
according to the specified dimensions.
Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Separating cut (1) : Dimension (a) = 80 mm from the center of screw connection option (4) .
Separating cut (2) : Dimension (b) = 410 mm from dimension a.
Separating cut (2) : Dimension (c) = 20 mm from the edge of the roof frame.
- Mark separating cut (1) as shown and cut through the B-pillar completely.
- Open the welded connections in areas (2)
and remove the metal section (3)
.
- Mark the separating cuts (1) according to the schematic diagram and carry out the cuts. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
- Open welded connections in areas (2)
and remove metal section of reinforcement of B-pillar.
- Open the welded connections in area (1)
and remove the metal section of the B-pillar. (2)
- Mark separating cuts (1)
and (2)
in accordance with the specified dimension and make the cuts.
Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension (a) = 125 mm from center point of hole with 20 mm diameter.
Dimension (b) = 25 mm from center point of 20 mm diameter.
- Open welded connections in area (3) .
- Open spot-welded adhesive joints in areas (4) .
- Release and remove door sill section from the cavity sealings (5)
.
- Remove cavity sealings (1) .
- Release welded connections in areas (2) .
- Remove sheet metal cutout of B-pillar reinforcement (3)
.
- Release welded connections in areas (1) .
- Remove metal sections (2) .
