Installing the roof trim strip
NOTE:

Replacing the clamps for the roof trim strip (equipment version with CFRP roof)
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The temperature of the roof skin and the clamps must be at least 20°C. The outer roof skin and the clamps can, if necessary, be warmed up with a hair dryer to maximum 40°C.

- Remove all clamps (1)

All the positions of the clamps are marked with marker lines.
- Completely remove all residue adhesive tape.
- Make sure that all bonding surfaces (1) on the roof outer skin are marked with marker lines (2) .
- Clean bonding surfaces (1) with the solvent cleaner and a microfiber cloth.
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
| Cleaning agent R2 | 500 ml | 83190417324 |
- Prime bonding surfaces (1) and give a final wipe immediately with a dry microfiber cloth.
ADHESIVE SPECIFICATION
| Activator -205 | 250 ml, Bottle | 83190030155 |
- Allow bonding surfaces (1) to dry for 2 mins.
- Replace the clamps (1)

Parts: Clamp
- Detach the protective film from the clamp (1) .
- Position clamp (1)
in the center between marker lines (2)
.
Dimension (a) = 1 mm
- Ensure that clamp (1)
is aligned parallel to roof frame (3)
.
Dimension (b) = Dimension (b)
- Press the clamp (1) with both thumbs firmly and completely for at least 5 s.
NOTE:
Stronger pressure and longer time increase the firmness.
- Repeat the steps with all other clamps.

- Check whether the clamps (1) are present and have damage.
- Defective or missing clamps (1) need to be replaced.
- Carefully attach the roof trim strip (1) and clip it in at the clips (2) starting at the rear.
