Installing windshield

Installing the left and right water guide element
- Check the water guide element (1)
on the left and right for damage and replace if necessary.
Do not mix up the left and right water pipe element.
- Clean the bonding surface with cleaning agent.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
Cleaning agent R2 500 ml 83190417324 - Detach the liner (2) from the water guide element (1) and position on the windshield (3) .
- Position the water guide element (1)
on the mark (2)
and press firmly.NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Prepare the glue cartridge with the standard nozzle C.
- Apply an adhesive bead within the marks (1)
on the windshield.
- Carefully feed in the windshield with the special tool 0 492 609 (51 3 010) between the hood and the windshield panel.
- Fit the windshield at top.
- Evenly align the windshield at left and right.
- Fit the windshield at the bottom and press.
- Press the windshield upward until the rubber frame of the windshield evenly makes contact with the roof.
- Secure the windshield in this installation position with the two types of yellow plastic adhesive tape (1)

Gap dimension windshield to roof outer skin 1 windshield; 2 roof outer skin 4.3+1.2-1.2 mm 3.6+1.3-1.3 mm
