Installing the tension cables
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
CAUTION:
Folding up of convertible top through loss of pressure in hydraulic cylinders.

- When carrying out all repair work, secure soft top and soft top compartment lid with a suitable support tool against collapsing. Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.
- Bring the convertible top (1) in the half opened position.
Secure the convertible top (1) from collapsing by using the support 2 452 010 if necessary.
- Position the bolt (2) using the tension cable (3).
- Fasten the retaining clip (1).
- Feed in the tension cable (2) at the convertible top linkage (3).
- Fold the convertible top fabric (1) downwards.
- Feed in the luggage strap (1) on the convertible top fabric (2).NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Hook the convertible top fabric (1) at the retaining tabs (2) in arrow direction.
- Position the convertible top fabric (1) on the convertible top bow and fold it downwards in arrow direction.
- Fasten the convertible top fabric on the convertible top bow using the edge stripping (2).
- If necessary, move the convertible top to the half-open position to make it easier to attach.NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Hook in the tension cable (2).
- Position the retaining clip (1).NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Replace the adhesive tape (1).

- Fasten the adhesive tape (1).
- Replace the double-sided adhesive tape in the area (1).
Parts: Double-sided adhesive tape
- Position the convertible top fabric (1) in arrow direction on the convertible top bow.
- Replace the adhesive tape (1).
Parts: Adhesive tape
- Fasten the adhesive tape (1) on the left and right to the convertible top bow (2).
