Removing the rear emblem

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- To avoid damaging paint: Mask off the working area with plastic adhesive tape.
- Heat the emblem (1) carefully with a hot air blower and release it from the adhesive strip with the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327). TECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION
Heating using hot air blower Surface temperature
40°C... 50°C - Carefully lever off the emblem (1) from the guide pins (2) and remove.
- The emblem (1) must be replaced without fail after the removal.
- Remove adhesive residue from the trunk lid.
- If installed: Remove the rear view camera (RFK)
- Unlock the plug connection (1), disconnect it and remove the emblem (2) with the rearview camera (RFK).
- Loosen the detents (1).
- Fold open the lid (2).
- Feed out and remove the rearview camera (RFK) (3) from the socket of the emblem (4).
