Preparing The Body
- Remove adhesive residue in the area (1) to 0.5 mm.
- Do not damage the primed surface.
Minor damage up to 5 mm or scratches can be ignored.
In the event of more significant damage to the base coat (exceeding 5 mm), proceed as follows:
- Pre-clean the damaged area with a cleaning agent.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

The adhesive flange area must not be painted over when the roof frame is being repaired or renewed. - Apply adhesive to the bare areas with a spatula or (fine) brush. Apply a uniformly thin layer (maximum 0.5 mm). The roof outer skin can be attached with an adhesive bond after hardening for 24 h at least at 15°C.ADHESIVE SPECIFICATION
Body adhesive K5 50 ml 83192158654 - Cut back the adhesive in areas (1).
Cutting back the adhesive bead on the body
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Do not cut back the residual bead until shortly before bonding. - Position folded scraper (2) as shown.
- Cut back adhesive bead (1) on body (3) to a thickness of approx. 0.5 mm.
- In order to adhere to the processing time of 15 minutes from the applying the adhesive, set the securing tools and locking pliers before installation.
- Adjust the new roof outer skin.
