Replace door trim panel

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE ENTRY LIGHT ON THE FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE SOUND INSULATION ON THE FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .

• Replace door trim panel.

  Replacing the speaker cover on the door trim panel 

• Replace the speaker cover.

  Parts:  Speaker cover

• Saw off all welding pins (1) along the molding (2).

• Carefully spot-weld (arrows) and drill out with the special tool 5 A3C D25  .
• Loosen screw (1).

• Pull the handle (1) from the door trim panel as shown and install the speaker cover (2).

• Secure all the welding pins (arrows) using lock washers (1).

• Position the handle correctly.
• Insert and tighten repair screws (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Repair screw to door trim panel
  Oval-head screw M4x10	tightening torque	2.0 Nm

• Tighten down screw (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Handle on door trim panel
  Oval-head screw	Tightening torque	2.0 Nm

  Install inner door opener 

• Shorten all the welding pins (1) by 6 mm.

• Remove welding remnants on door trim panel with a scalpel.
• Install the door opener in the door trim panel.
• Secure all the welding pins (arrows) using lock washers (2).
• Tighten down screw (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Inner door opener to door trim panel
  Oval-head screw	Tightening torque	2.0 Nm

• If necessary, install the existing LED modules.

  Remove the power window switch on the driver's side 

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
• Release all detents (2) and remove the power window switch (3) from the door trim panel (4).

  Install the power window switch on the driver's side 

• Position power window switch (3) on door trim panel (4) and engage it in all the detents (2).
• Connect connectors (1) and lock.

• Remount door wiring harness (1).
