Install A-Pillar Reinforcement

Apply sealant D1 to the new cavity sealing (1).
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985

Insert the cavity sealing (1) in the new part.
Apply sealant D1 to cavity sealing in the area (2).
Install the new part using an alignment bracket or a universal fixture and secure it.
Weld new part in areas (1) and (2) as per new part preparation processes.

In the area (1), set a 15 mm long MAG weld seam with the help of the hole (arrows).

Install the section (1) and the reinforcement plate.
Weld the separating cut (2), reinforcement plate and areas (3).

Pre-clean adhesive area (1) on the vehicle and on the new part with solvent cleaner R2.

Clean adhesive area (1) on the vehicle and on the new part with solvent cleaner R1.

Apply adhesive K1 to the adhesive area (1).
ADHESIVE SPECIFICATION

Body adhesive K1 195 ml 83190413015

Apply sealant D1 to the new cavity sealing (2). Install new cavity sealing (2).
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985
Apply sealant D1 to the cavity sealings (2) and (3).
Install new part and weld in areas (1) to (3) according to the new part preparation process.
In the area (3), observe the bonded connection lying underneath. Avoid excessive application of heat.
