Check/Top up oil level in the rear axle differential (M Sport differential)

Failure to comply with the oil specifications can result in serious damage to the rear axle differential .

Only use approved oil in the rear axle differential.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
It is imperative to ensure that there is no air in the hose when topping up a defined (measured) oil quantity.

Use the special tool 2 460 340 to top up.
When topping up a defined (measured) oil quantity, first fill the hose (1) with oil. To do this, attach an adapter (2).
Supplement the rear differential fluid change/oil level with oil gun

Follow repair instructions!
Release oil drain plug (1).
Check oil level.
The oil level in the rear axle differential has been adjusted correctly once a small quantity of oil leaks from the opening of the screw plug.

If necessary, top up final drive transmission oil.

Rene the screw plug (1).
Parts: Plug

Screw in the screw plug (1) manually by a few turns and tighten it.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Screw plug on the rear axle differential
M22 Replace screw plug with O-ring.	tightening torque	60 Nm
