Removing the number plate baseplate for the license plate

WARNING: Malfunction of the sensors of the assistance systems 
Incorrect assembly of the license plate leads to a malfunction of the sensors of the assistance systems 
  • Only install the license plate and number plate baseplate according to the predefined dimensions in the repair instructions
  • Attach the license plate and number plate baseplate to the bumper cover without pre-drilling,  otherwise there is a risk of damage to the cables underneath
  • Only use number plate baseplates that have been approved for the vehicle type
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
The license plate must be precisely mounted on the number plate baseplate and must not protrude on the underside
The license-plate carrier must not be installed on the front bumper
