- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons

Preliminary work

- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING SEAL FOR FRONT HOOD .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to PARTIALLY RELEASING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ADAPTER FOR THE TOP BUMPER COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT HEADLIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION SENSOR .
- Refer to RELEASING THE LEFT AND RIGHT EXTERNAL RADIATOR .

- Unclip Bowden cable bracket (1) from the body
- Release the lid (2) from the snap-in lugs (3) and fold it up to the front
- Detach the Bowden cable (1)
- Set the Bowden cable bracket (2) aside together with the Bowden cableNOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side
- Release the cooler module mount (1) from the detents (2) and remove it to the top
- Loosen screws (1) and (2)NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side
- Loosen screws (1)
- Release the expanding rivet (1)
- Carefully feed out the front end (2) to the front
Disconnect all plug connections and release the wiring harness from the front end
- Remove the front end (2)
