Installing the backrest covering with the cushion for the front seat

WARNING: Airbag unit. 
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries! 

• Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
• Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries! 

• All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
• Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

• Positioning the backrest covering (1) with the cushion without damaging it in the marked area (2).
• Position the backrest covering (1) complete with the side airbag in the arrow direction.
• Position the stud bolt of the side airbag in the area (2) correctly.
• Correctly position the backrest covering (1) in the marked area (3).

• Attach holder (1).
• Replace nuts (2).

  Parts:  Nuts

• Tighten nuts (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Airbag on the backrest frame
  Nut Replace nut.	tightening torque	6.5 Nm

• Connect connectors (1) and lock.

• Clip in clips (1).
• Connect connectors (2) and lock.

• Attach the backrest covering (1) in the area (2).
• Attach the seat cover (3).
