Installing the seal
The repair notes of bonded seals form the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

- Remove the plugs (1) on the front door (2).NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Clean the bonding surfaces on the inner door panel with adhesive remover (sourcing reference: BMW Group Parts).
- If necessary, cut out the pre-punched cutouts (2) for screws and openings form the template (1).
- Prior to bonding, align the template (1) on the inner door panel (2).
The edge of template (1) and the bending radius of inner door panel (2) must run parallel.
The marks/punch-outs (3) of the template (1) must match up with the respective bore hole of the inner door panel (2).

- Prior to bonding, align the template (1) on the inner door panel (2).
The edge of template (1) and the bending radius of inner door panel (2) must run parallel.
- Position the seal (1) along the template (3).
The seal (1) must rest against the mark (4) (arrow) of the template (3).
- Bond the sealing (1) as follows:
Gradually pull off the protective film (2).
Align the seal (1) accordingly on the template (3) and gently press it down.
Check and if necessary correct the position of the seal (1).
Do not overstretch or compress the seal (1) when positioning it.
Press the seal (1) perpendicular to the bonding surface.
Affix the seal (1) with firm thumb pressure.
- Slightly lift up the inner window recess finisher strip at the rear by hand and guide in the seal (1).
- Position the seal (1) along the template (3).
The seal (1) must rest against the mark (4) (arrow) of the template (3).
- Bond the sealing (1) as follows:
Gradually pull off the protective film (2).
Align the seal (1) accordingly on the templates (3) and gently press it down.
Check and if necessary correct the position of the seal (1).
Do not overstretch or compress the seal (1) when positioning it.
Always apply pressure perpendicular to the bonding surface to affix the seal (1).
Affix the seal (1) with firm thumb pressure.
- Position the seal (1) along the template (3).
The seal (1) must rest against the mark (4) (arrow) of the template (3).

Align the seal (1) accordingly on the template (3) and gently press it down.
Check and if necessary correct the position of the seal (1).
