Remove top automatic air flap control

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT HOOD SEAL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER FOR THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to PARTIALLY RELEASING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
- Loosen screws (1).
- Guide out and remove the cover (2).NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides.
- Release the top air flap control (1) with a suitable special tool.
Lever out the ball head (2) upwards.
- Guide the air flap control (1) up and out and remove it.
- Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
