Removing the trim panel for the rear shelf

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Fold the headlining.
Damage to the headlining. If necessary, the headlining must be replaced.

Carry out tasks with a second person to assist.
Support the headlining at the front and back.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BENCH .
Refer to REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT BACKREST SIDE SECTION .
Refer to REMOVING THE INNER DOOR SILL COVER STRIP ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
Refer to REMOVING THE SEAT BELT FINISHER STRIP AT THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
Refer to REMOVING SIDE TRIM PANEL, REAR LEFT AND RIGHT .
Refer to REMOVING RIGHT C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL LEFT AND RIGHT .

Release the expanding rivet (1) .
Unlock and disconnect the plug connections under the trim panel (2) . To do this, lift trim panel (2) .
Release the wiring harness with all holders from trim panel (2) .
Guide out and remove trim panel (2) to the front.
