Remove the cover from the rear window

- Detach rubber frame (1) with adhesive tape (2) from the rear window.
- Replace cover on the rear window.

Installing the cover on the rear window
NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details. - Note the mark (A) for the cover (1) on the rear window.
- Move lever (1) in the arrow direction and use special tool 0 496 529 (51 3 320)
to open.
- Detach protective film (2) in stages from adhesive tape.
- Insert cover (1) into the guides (3).
- Place the special tool with the pressure rollers (1) up against the window edge.
- Align the cover on the outer edge of the rear window.
- Put the cover on and visually check to make sure it is positioned correctly.
- Reposition the lever (1) in arrow direction and close the special tool with it.
- Make sure the cover (3) is positioned correctly in the guide pulleys (2).
- Continue to detach protective film (1) in stages from adhesive tape.
- Use the handwheel to pull the special tool in the arrow direction over the entire upper edge of the window glass.
