Removing and installing/replacing center armrest storage compartment LED (330i xDrive Wagon, 328d xDrive Wagon, 330i GT xDrive, 340i GT xDrive)

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove INSERT in center armrest storage compartment.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Feed cable (2) out of center console.

Press LED module cover (3) in direction of arrow out of center console.

Feed out LED module cover (3) with cable (2) from center console.

Installation note:

Make sure cable (2) is correctly laid in center console.

Make sure LED module cover (3) is correctly seated in center console.

Replacement:

Disengage and remove LED module (1) from cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Retaining lugs (3) and guides (4) on cover (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Ensure correct seat of LED module (1) on the cover (2).
