Replacing lock cylinder

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

- Refer to REMOVING DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE COVER ON THE INTERIOR WINDOW FRAME .
- Refer to REMOVING THE EXTERIOR MIRROR .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OUTER WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT MODULE BRACKET .
- Refer to REMOVE THE OUTER DOOR HANDLE SUPPORT .
- Detach the linkage (1)
from the door lock (2)
.
- Unclip the cover (1) at the points (2) .
- Remove cover panel (1)
.
- Detach the locking rod (1) .
- Twist the lock cylinder (2)
in clockwise direction and remove it.
- Screw in the new lock cylinder (2) counterclockwise.
- Attach the locking rod (1)
in the new lock cylinder (2)
.
- Clip in the cover (1)
in the points (2)
.
- Attach the linkage (1) in the door lock (2) .
