Installing the charge air cooler on the left and right

- Feed in the charge air cooler (2) at the bottom and position.
- Replace hose with clamps (2).
Parts: Hose, clamps
- Tighten hose clamp (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

- Connect hose (2).
Retaining clip (1) must engage audibly.
- Engage the holder (2) on the charge air cooler.
- Tighten down screw (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

- Connect the line (1) and lock.
- Position holder (3).
- Tighten down screw (2).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

- Replace the hose.

- Tighten the hose clamp (1).

- Slide the hose (2) onto the stud of the charge air cooler.
- Replace hose clamp with hose.

- Tighten the hose clamp (3).
- Thread in the hose (1) in the holder on the charge air cooler (4).
- Slide the hose (2) onto the stud of the charge air cooler.
- Replace hose clamp with hose.

- Tighten the hose clamp (3).
- Thread in the hose (1) in the holder on the charge air cooler (4).
- Attach the coolant lines (2).
- Retaining clip (1) must engage audibly.
- Position the cable in the cable bracket (2) and lock.
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
- Feed in the charge air cooler (1) at the bottom and position.
- Replace the hose and clamps (1).

- Tighten the hose clamps (1) on the charge air cooler (2).

- Position the connecting plate of the charge air cooler (2).
- Tighten down screws (1).

- Connect connectors (2) and lock.
- Tighten down screw (1).

- Snap line (1) into holder (2).
- Position the centering pin on holder (1) downwards in lug (2) on the charge air cooler.
- Engage the holder (1) on the charge air cooler.
- Position the line.
Risk of breakage.
- Connect connectors (2) and lock.
- Connect the line (1) and lock.
- Connect hose (2).
Retaining clip (1) must snap in audibly.
- Connect the line (1) and lock.
- Position holder (3).
- Tighten down screw (2).

- Replace the hose.

- Slide the hose (2) onto the stud of the charge air cooler.
- Replace hose clamp with hose.

- Thread in the hose (1) in the holder on the charge air cooler (4).
- Attach the coolant lines (2).
- Retaining clip (1) must engage audibly.
Installing oil filler neck
- Replace the sealing ring (2) on the oil filler neck (1).
Parts: Sealing ring
- Coat the sealing ring (2) with the recommended engine oil.
Engine oil
Technically suitable engine oils for BMW Group engines
- Position oil filler neck (1).
- Turn oil filler neck (1) about 15° counterclockwise.
- Tighten screw (2) on the oil filler neck (3).

- Installing the cover panel of the master DME control unit.
- Position the cover of the master DME control unit (1)
- Engage the cover panel of the master DME control unit (1) downwards with the clamps (2) and the guide pins (3) in the carrier plate of the DME.
