- Cover the door sill using protective covers.CAUTION: Heavy component .
Heavy components can lead to injury or damage .- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Lift front seat (1) into the vehicle with the assistance of a support person.
- Place front seat (1) to the rear.
- Connect connectors (2) and lock.
- Check all plug connections for completeness, correct fit and locking where required.
- Attach the cable clip (3).
Activate vehicle-specific high-voltage or low-voltage vehicle electrical system
Installing the seat rail end caps at the rear

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Shift front seat forwards.
- Carefully spread the seat rail end cap (3) in the arrow directions and position it as shown.
- Clip the lock (2) in
- Replace screws (1).

- Tighten the screws (1).(TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATIONS)
Seat to body Cheese head screw with collar
Replace screw.Tightening torque 42 Nm
- Shift front seat rearwards.
- Replace screws (1).

Installing the seat rails of the front end caps

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Spread apart the seat rails of the end caps (1) carefully in the arrow directions and position them on the seat rails as shown.NOTE: For a better overview the removed condition is shown here.
- Clip lock (1) of the seat rails of the front end cap (2) into seat rail (3) carefully as shown.
- Clip lock (1) of the seat rails of the front end cap (2) carefully.
Installing the front seat rail cover
NOTE:

- Check all the locks and guides for damage and replace the front seat rail cover (1) if necessary.
- Position the front seat rail cover (1) in the arrow direction.
- Clip in detents (2) of the front seat rail cover (1) carefully.
Installing the outer seat rail covers

- Check all the locks and the guides for damage and replace the outer seat rail cover (1) if necessary.
- Guide in the outer seat rail cover (1) carefully in the arrow direction and position it as shown.
- Clip the outer seat rail cover (1) carefully into detents (2) of the front seat rail cover (3).

NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Clean all belt fittings with microencapsulated male and female threads.
Shavings or other debris must not remain in the components.
If a microencapsulated screw is reused, it must be coated with the following screw locking agent: Loctite 243, medium strength .
The threaded connection must be completed within 10 minutes as hardening begins after this period.

- Feed the seat belt end fitting with the belt (1) into the cover (2) in the marked area carefully.
- Position the front seat belt end fitting (2) in the marked area correctly and feed it into the seat frame (3).
- Replace the screw (1).
