Removing the wiper arm

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the wiper console.
If the wiper arm is removed without a special tool, the wiper console can break.

Only remove the wiper arm with the described special tool.
Do not lever off the wiper arm, as otherwise the wiper console can break at the predetermined breaking point for active pedestrian protection.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Disconnect the washer fluid hose (2) at the separation point and feed it out from the guide of the windshield panel.
Remove the cover cap (3) .
Release nut (4) .

Release wiper arm (1) using special tool 0 493 441 (61 6 060) .
Remove the wiper arm (1) .

Removing the right wiper arm
