Putting the rear radar sensor short range left and right into operation
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Commissioning the rear radar sensors close range is necessary if parts were disassembled that change the position of the radar sensors or if the rear bumper cover was painted.

NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
If the fault memory entry "misaligned" is present and correct commissioning cannot be initiated, there is reason to suspect damage from an accident.
In this case, the vehicle must be examined carefully for damage. If necessary, damaged parts must be replaced. Then put the radar sensors into operation again.
A damaged/bent holder indicates mechanical misuse of the vehicle and will not be invoiced as a warranty case.

- Check visible areas carefully:
- damage
- deformation
Result
» For damage or deformation.
Measure
- To identify damaged or deformed vehicle parts and replace them.
Result
» No damage or deformation is present.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes.
Some parts may differ in certain details.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The static commissioning of the radar sensors must be carried out on the appropriately equipped headlight setting space. - Have special tools 5 A40 812 , 5 A40 810 , 5 A40 808 , 5 A40 809 , 2 338 466 and 5 A40 814 ready.
- Set up the special tools according to the operating instructions provided.
- Position special tool 5 A40 814 for shielding interference factors parallel to the vehicle lengthwise.
- Ensure that there are no objects or persons in the marked area (approx. 30 cm upstream and downstream of the special tool 5 A40 814 ).
- Leave special tool 5 A40 814 under tire (1) .
- Align special tool 5 A40 814
with wheel hub (2)
in the center in the marked area.
