Installing the spring strut support bearing
- Check the spring pad (1) for damage and replace as needed.
- Align the spring pad (1) correctly based on the mark to the spring strut support bearing (2).
- Check spring strut, auxiliary damper, protective tube and spring pad (2) for damage and replace as needed.
- Align the coil spring end (1) at the spring pad (2) to the stop.
- Mount the spring strut support bearing on the piston rod of the spring strut.
- Align the coil spring end (1) at the spring pad (2) to the stop.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or spring strut support bearing with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.

- Replace nut.
Parts: Nut
- Tighten the nut of the spring strut support bearing (1) with the special tool 0 496 514 (33 0 040).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Insert cover cap (1).
