Preparing New Part

Coat the side panel before painting in the areas (1) using sealant D1.
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATIONS

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310ml 83422409985
Paint side panel.

Release the screws (1) and remove the guide (2).

Check
Check the lock (1) and bracket (2) on the guide (3) for damage.

Result

» The guide (3) is damaged.

Measure
- Replace the guide (3).
Position the guide (2) on the new side panel.

Tighten down screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Remount the sheet metal nut (1) on the new side panel.
Release the clip (2) and the detents (3) and remount the seal (4).

Carefully release the trim (1) on the clamps (arrows) and feed out of the side panel.

Check
Check the clamps (1) and mounts for the clamps.

Result

» The clamps (3) are damaged.

Measure
- Replace clamps (3).
If the mounts are defective, renew the trim (2).
Feed in the trim (1) on the new side panel and engage on the clamps (arrows).

Remount the expansion nuts (1) on the new part.
Remount the bracket (2) on the new part.

Renew the foam tape (1).
Parts: Foam tape

Attach the foam tape (1) to the new part.
