Preparing New Part

• Adjust new parts with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture and secure.
• Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum to aluminum.

• Transfer the hole pattern of the engine mount (2) to the new part in area (1). Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
• Prepare area (1) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum to aluminum.
• In area (1), transfer the positions of the holes from the spring support to the new part. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.

• Prepare areas (1) and (2) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum on aluminum.
• In areas (1) and (2), transfer the positions of the holes from the spring support to the new part. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.

• Release the bonded rivet connection in area (1).
• Remove the unneeded component (2).

• Fit in new part.
• Prepare areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding of aluminum to aluminum.
• Prepare area (2) for structural adhesive bonding of steel to aluminum.
• In areas (1) and (2), transfer the positions of the holes to the new part. Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.

• Prepare areas (1) for structural adhesive bonding (with punch rivets) of aluminum to aluminum.
• Remove the new parts and deburr the bores.
