Installing the tailgate spindle drive
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid.

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the spindle drive.
If the trunk lid is not opened completely, the spindle drive may be damaged.

- Remove and install the spindle drive only when the Trunk lid is open to the maximum extent.
- Fit spindle drive (3) and place it with the ball socket (2) on the ball hubs and engage with force.
Check the clamp (1) is fitted correctly.
- Connect both plug connections (2).
- Guide in vehicle wiring harness (1) and install the rubber grommet on the body panel.
Make sure the rubber grommet is seated correctly.
