Partially remove the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on the right

Removing the emergency release handle for the tailgate:

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Loosen the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate from the holder.
Detach the Bowden cable (2) and remove the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate.

Loosen expanding rivet (1).

Release the hinge cover (1) from the right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) and leave it hanging on the hinge bracket.
Feed out the right luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) under the sealing lip of the seal for the trunk lid and detach it in the rear area.
