Installing the trim strip

Precondition

Door in front and rear is open.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Notes on component bonding using adhesive tape form the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.

Check that all clamps (1) are fitted and free from damage.
Damaged or missing clamps (1) must be replaced.
Position all clamps (1) correctly.

Check if clips (1) are present and check them for damage.
Damaged or missing clips (1) must be replaced.
Remove liner (protective film) from the adhesive strips (2) .
Clean the adhesive area on the body.

Position the trim strip (2) along with the seal (1) correctly and clip into the clips (3) .
Press the seal (1) onto the adhesive strip.

Snap-in the trim strip (1) along the overall length on all clamps (2) .
