- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.

- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Precondition
The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear.
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Remove expanding rivet (1) in the headlining (2).
- Release auxiliary brake light cover (1) with the detent (2) and the clips (3), then pull down to remove.
- Pull down to unclip the headlining (1) and the clips (2).
- Unclip the headlining (2) and the clips (1).
CAUTION:
Sharp-edge components.

- Where applicable, cover up or mask off sharp-edged components.
- Feed out the headlining (1) on the respective edge protection and place on seats as shown.
- Wrap the retaining tabs (2) of the headlining (1) with a suitable cushioning material to avoid damaging the seat cushions.
