Remounting the control unit for Front Light Electronics (FLEL)
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Removing the control unit for the Frontal Light Electronics (FLEL)
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Pull the Front Light Electronics (2)
control unit out of the headlights.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1) .
- Remove the Front Light Electronics (2) control unit.
Installing the control unit for the Front Light Electronics (FLEL)
- Check the seal (3) on the control unit for the Front Light Electronics (2) for damage and replace if necessary.
- Connect connectors (1)
and lock.
Check
- After locking: The plug connection must be checked for correct, firm fit.
Result
» The firm fit is not correct.
Measure
- Disconnect the connectors and check the locking mechanism for mechanical damage.
Measure
- Replace the damaged plug components.
Measure
- Fit, insert and lock the connector at a right angle to the direction of insertion.
Measure
- Check correct firm fit again.
- Position the control unit for the front light electronics (2) in the headlight.
- Tighten down screws (1)

Frontal Light Electronics (FLE) PT-SCREW 40x12 tightening torque 1.5 Nm
