Remove the armrest at the rear door trim panel

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE COVER ON THE DOOR HANDLE .
Refer to REMOVING THE REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL .

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Loosen screw (1).
Drill out or grind down all marked spot-welds.
Remove the armrest.
