Removing the pedal mechanism

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER .
- Insert release tool 2 409 646 in the arrow direction between the brake pedal and the brake booster.
- Set support (1) of release tool 2 409 646 on the bearing bracket. If necessary, position the support by twisting the screw on the release tool tightly.
- Press release tool 2 409 646 in the arrow direction and lever out the brake pedal from the brake booster.
- Loosen screw (2).
- Release nuts (3).
- Remove pedal mechanism (1).
