Removing the rollover protection

Precondition 

• Convertible top is open.

Convertible top compartment lid is in the open position.

Wind deflector is removed.

Rear seat backrest is folded.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BENCH .
• Refer to REMOVING THE HEAD RESTRAINT ON REAR LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE REAR LEFT AND RIGHT HEAD RESTRAINT GUIDES .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM PANEL AT THE TOP OF THE ROLLOVER PROTECTION SYSTEM .
• Refer to REMOVING THE UPPER CROSS MEMBER COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING THE THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM TRIM PANEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM PANEL AT THE BOTTOM ON THE ROLL-OVER PROTECTION SYSTEM .
• Refer to REMOVING RECEIVER FOR RADIO REMOTE CONTROL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE TELEMATICS CONTROL MODULE .
• Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .

• Disconnect plug connection (1).
• Loosen screw (2).
• Remove the LTE antenna (3).

• Disconnect the wiring harness (1) and unclip it from the brackets.
• Loosen the nuts (2) and remove the bracket (3).

  NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
• Loosen screws (1).
• Remove the seat belt guide loop (2) and put it aside.

• Loosen screws (1).
• With the aid of a second person, guide out the rollover protection (2) upwards.
