Remove the soft top mechanism
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CONVERTIBLE TOP COMPARTMENT LID .
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Slightly lift the retaining clip (1) and unclip the hydraulic cylinder (2).
- Feed out the cable linkage for the emergency unlocking (1) from the cargo area.
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Mark the position of the convertible top compartment lid mechanism (1) on the bodywork.
- Release the screws (2) and remove the convertible top compartment lid mechanism (1).
