Remove hydraulic unit
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL .
- Guide out hydraulic unit (1) and place it in the cargo area.
- Remove retaining strap (1).
- Remove the control unit (2).
- Release the adhesive tapes (1) and remove the coating (2) from the foam material.
- Unlock and disconnect the existing plug connections (1).NOTE: Briefly open the lid of the hydraulic fluid reservoir to release any pressure present in the system. This prevents hydraulic fluid from escaping in the next work step.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Risk of mixing up To ensure correct assignment, the hydraulic lines and respective connections must be marked with suitable materials in case of removal. If the hydraulic lines are connected incorrectly, the convertible top can be damaged! - Protect the working area from escaping hydraulic fluid.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Shift the locking plate (2) in the arrow direction.
- Feed out the hydraulic lines (3).
