Preparing The CFRP Roof Outer Skin

Setting the blind rivet nut for the roof antenna 

• Set blind rivet nuts (1) on roof outer skin (2).

  Parts  : Blind rivet nut

• Transfer the positions of the marked spacers (1) to the top with adhesive tape.

  These marks will later be used to position the pliers for fixing the roof outer skin.

• Pre-clean the areas (1 to 3) with solvent cleaner R2.
• Roughen areas (1 to 3) with Scotchbrite Multiflex sandpaper.
• Clean the areas (1 to 3) with solvent cleaner R2.

  After drying them, all the adhesive areas must be uniformly matt gray, roughen them again if necessary.

• Apply Betawipe 4800 in area 2 and allow it to dry.
