Removing belt tensioner of alternator

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CLEAN AIR PIPE FOR CYLINDERS 1 TO 3 .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SPOILER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT UNDERSHIELD .
- Refer to REMOVING THRUST FIELD .

- Reduce preload as far as possible before disassembly. Relieve component.
- Raise the preload with standard tools (1) on the belt tensioner in the arrow direction .
- Secure the belt tensioner with the special tool 0 496 268 (11 0 390)
.
- Feed out the drive belt for alternator (1) from the alternator (2) and set aside.
- Using a standard tool (1), increase the preload on the alternator belt tensioner by turning it in the direction of the arrow .
- Guide the special tool 0 496 268 (11 0 390)
out and remove.
- Remove screws (arrows).
- Remove belt tensioner of the alternator (1).
