Releasing the refrigerant lines at the air conditioning compressor

Precondition 

All the negative battery cables are disconnected.

• Release nut (1)  .
• Pull the positive battery cable (2)  out and set it aside.
• Unlock plug connection (3)  and disconnect.

  CAUTION: Residual pressure in the heating and air conditioning system. 
  Injury hazard! 

  • Wear safety goggles and protective gloves when disconnecting the refrigerant line.
  • Close the refrigerant lines with seal plugs.

• Loosen screws (1)  .
• Feed out the refrigerant lines (2)  and set them aside.

• Close the refrigerant lines (1)  with commercially available seal plugs.

• Close the bores (1)  and (2)  with commercially available seal plugs.
